Too often we have found
it is not that people don't care about their pets, or other animals, but that they just don't know what to do, or
where to go for the help or information they need.
One of our goals is to help people to become responsible pet owners. It is a pet owner's
responsibility to prevent their pets from indiscriminant breeding. Accidents happen! By spaying/neutering your pets at a young
age, you not only stop the births of many kittens but you also help to lessen the number of deaths that take place in shelters.
There just are not enough shelters to keep them all alive, and there are not enough homes.

of spaying/neutering and distribute literature about the low-cost programs that are available. Contact us! We can direct you
to a low-cost spay/neuter program in your area.
If you are feeding feral or stray cats, please contact us! We
have many years of experience in safely trapping cats. Some of these so-called "ferals," at one time, were family
pets. With time and patience many of these cats will learn to trust, love, and bond with someone. We can suggest trapping
techniques and give you suggestions on taming kittens, as well as caring for stray and feral cats.
We have educational material
on pet care, resolving behavioral issues, and other resource materials that can help you understand how to best care for your
pets. Learning the daily needs of your pets is the first step to having a healthy and happy pet.

Feral cats
Feral cats are untamed cats. These cats were born in the wild and have had little or no contact with people
and have not been socialized. Most abandoned or lost domesticated cats will, over a period of time, begin to take on feral
ways for survival. Kittens of those feral parents will be born feral, as will generations to follow. To survive, these cats
join or form colonies and live near food sources.
Feral cats are generally considered a nuisance or pests. Male cats
that are not neutered will fight. It is the nature of the cat to fight for dominance, territory, and females. This leads to
spraying, caterwauling, and injuries.
If these free-roaming cats are safely trapped and spayed or neutered, many of
these unwanted behaviors will be greatly reduced, if not eliminated completely. Colony sizes will dwindle because new kittens
will no longer be born, and the colony becomes stabilized, and manageable.
A managed cat colony that has been spayed,
neutered, and vaccinated will not spread disease, they will not "litter," and they will eliminate rodents from the area -
which is a human health benefit, especially around restaurants, supermarkets, and dumpsters.
