We have a new service for people that want to find homes for friendly stray or family cats.
Purrfect Match is a service to help people (that are not part of a rescue group) to try to place cats into homes.
All cats must be spayed or neutered, vaccinated against rabies (and distemper if appropriate), tested for FELV and FIV, and socialized to be indoor cats. We would need the approximate age of the cat, sex of the cat, color/breed and the cat’s personality. We can also post if the cat is friendly with other cats, dogs or kids. Microshipping is an option and is recommended but that is the choice of the finder.
We can post 3 photos and 1 video on three or more adoption sites including our website. We also offer services to do background checks on potential adopters which includes telephone conversations and contacting veterinarians and personal references.
Our services are based on a $25.00 fee for the first month and $15.00 a month fee which keeps the posts up and running. It also allows for periodic updates pertaining to the circumstances of the cat’s situation.
We have decided to start this service to help people that are compassionate and want to do what is best for the cats they feed and find. We have been there ourselves so very long ago.
Please let us know if this may be something you would like to do for the kitty you found. We know that all rescues and shelters are usually full and can’t take in all homeless cats.
Please continue to contact rescue groups and ask if they can foster this cat, especially if the cat is living outdoors.
